Jan is a seasoned mortgage professional with over three decades of experience in the industry. Armed with a BA in Business from Fort Lewis College and a wealth of specialized knowledge acquired through various courses, including the City of Cortez Citizens Police Academy, Jan embarked on her journey in February 1991. Her affinity for numbers and passion for helping others drew her to the mortgage sector, where she thrives on finding creative solutions to empower first-time homebuyers and restructuring financial issues for her clients.
 
Residing in Cortez, Colorado, since 1984, Jan is deeply rooted in her community. She enjoys patronizing local businesses, particularly those with inviting outdoor patios. Clients appreciate Jan’s meticulous approach and genuine care, which fosters lasting relationships beyond the lending process.
 
A standout moment in Jan’s career involved providing comfort and support to a distressed client, ultimately helping her secure her first home. Outside of work, Jan cherishes time with her family, including her daughter and grandchildren in Montana, and her son who works alongside her in the mortgage industry. She finds solace in motorcycle rides and tropical getaways, alongside her commitment to supporting local charities and fundraisers.
